About an year ago, I wrote an article which compared resistive touchscreen display with capacitive touchscreen display, fortunately, many people around the globe were interested in reading about that particular topic and that’s why it become one of my best blog posts.
Today, I am going to share with you an Infographic that explains a lot more than my article did. Also, besides capacitive and resistive, one more form of touchscreen display has been invented, although, I haven’t seen it getting used in the Smartphones we generally use. It’s called Infrared (Heat-Sensitive and Optical) touchscreen display.
By the way, it is a very common myth that a capacitive touchscreen is responsible for smoother usage of the device but that’s not how it happens. If you see a Smartphone run really smooth then the component responsible for its snappiness is its processing unit and RAM. Your Smartphone can have brilliant responsiveness and still have a capacitive touchscreen (see Samsung Jet for example).
