Unable to sell ZTE Optik tablets, Sprint’s decided to give it away for Free to users who purchase any Smartphone with a 2-year data contract. But, there’s a catch, users who opt for this freebie would have to pay for an additional 2-year data contract that would power Optik’s network. According to one of TechnoBuffalo’s sources, Sprint would start this promotion from 12th of August till 30th of September. Optik tablet is one of the low-end yet decently speced tablets — it’s got 7-inch HD display, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Even though Optik isn’t a bad tablet, I don’t think people would want to buy it when Nexus 7 is available in town with a much better hardware and software.
