If you reside in UK and own a Sony PS3 gaming console then get ready to experience a life full of online music streaming and fun gaming too. From today onwards, Sony PS3 consoles in UK and Ireland would be able to stream music on PS3 and Bravia televisions as a result of Sony’s Music Unlimited Subscription Services.
Sony Entertainment had been in search to integration multimedia entertainment options to its gaming console PlayStation 3 and now it seems they have successfully done so.
The new subscription service would cost about (£3.99 a month for Basic access, £9.99 for the Premium stuff), from premium stuff I mean on-demand videos, live streaming of various blog podcasts and much more.

You can stream music on PS3 from a library of nearly 6 million high quality songs. These songs can also be played on an internet connected Blu-ray player or your Sony Bravia Television. Downloading music on PS3 is no worry as they are delivered in digital high quality formats.
If you are using any of the internet music streaming services like iTunes, Last.fm or Napster, the music streaming app on PS3 allows you to sync your playlist which means what you like will always be there with you or in your playlists.
Sony is planning to introduce this service to all the Sony Portable Devices which include other Sony Gaming Consoles. It would be real fun to use music streaming app from Sony on PSP, their handheld gaming console.
Other than that, I think they are also in need for Android Application developers who could turn this whole music streaming environment to Android Applications. I will be getting a Droid for me soon; this will be a bonus then, downloading music on Android Devices takes time, it will keep me sorted.
Music Unlimited services from Sony are a way to thicken revenue as digital music is preferred these days over music in CDs. Earlier we had seen Sony making a deal with Netflix for online video content for PS3, now they have designed a music streaming app for PS3 themselves, quite a progress.
The service is currently limited to UK but will be released for US, Canada and Western Europe by this New Year. I hope India is catered soon too; there are hundreds of PS3 Gamers here.
