Huawei, a brand known for producing budget-friendly tablets may be releasing a low-cost 7-inch Android slate – MediaPad 7 Lite soon – so as to safeguard its share in the tablet market from competitive products like Amazon Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7. Most probably, the tab would run Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and come with a price tag of no more than US$ 200. As of now, Huawei hasn’t revealed full details about the tablet but we know something. For one, it would have 7-inch unibody design, along with Full HD 1080p video playback, IPS display screen with nice viewing angles and 3G/Wi-Fi support. With rumours suggesting an upgraded Kindle Fire coming late July, the 7-inch tablet niche is sure to get stiffer.
