Everybody who bought high-end Smartphones last year are waiting to get the latest version of Android for their device, if you bought any of the high-end phones from HTC last year then there’s good news for you.
Yesterday, HTC revealed on their Facebook page that Smartphones in the Sensation lineup would get updated to Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in coming March. HTC Sensation and the Sensation XE would get ICS by the end of March, whereas ICS update for Sensation XL would be released after a short while.
Obviously, HTC is not going to release the update without tweaking ICS a little bit, you might see several customized widgets and apps, and I am hoping to see a new HTC Sense UI on top Android v4.0 ICS.
HTC also mentioned that HTC EVO 3D, Incredible S, Desire S and Desire HD would also receive a custom ICS update later this year.
I am very much excited to see how ICS looks on the 4+ inch display of these Phones, I have seen Galaxy Nexus’ UI on YouTube, and its pretty awesome, the new OS uses phone/tablet’s graphics to enhance User Experience. Definitely, Google has worked towards consumer satisfaction in developing this new OS.
Stay Tuned, Subscribe to HTC’s Facebook Page because they are going to reveal more about the update schedule in coming week.
