In a second attempt to sell mobile handsets directly to consumers, Google listed the 16GB unlocked version of Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Google’s flagship ICS device on its Play Store. Since this an unlocked version, you can use this device with any compatible GSM carrier, also, you would to spend just $400 to get device because Google has removed carrier commissions from picture.

The device is good old Galaxy Nexus which was undoubtedly the most amazing Smartphone of 2011; slammed with solid specs, slick design and latest Android operating system, and now an unbeatable $400 price, this deal is a definite steal. If you’re looking to buy a new Smartphone, then this is where your search ends.

Right now, only people living in United States can take advantage of this deal; in fact, only people living in United States can access the Galaxy Nexus sales page; I live in India and I had to use a proxy server in order to a screenshot of the page, huh, isn’t that funny?

Anyways, this store thing could be a perfect launching pad for the upcoming sub-$200 Google-ASUS “Nexus tablet.”
