Samsung Galaxy S 4G & G-Slate Tablet PC on T-Mobile Network
T-Mobile has announced two big gadgets today that would be available for people in the United States on their network.
The first one is a Smartphone that runs on 4G Network and was announced earlier at CES 2011. I am talking about Samsung Galaxy S 4G which one of the latest Smartphones to run on Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) as well as support internet access at a speed greater than 21.1 Mbps.
So this was the announcement of the Smartphone that would be selling under T-Mobile’s branding in United States.
Key Features and Specifications of Samsung Galaxy S 4G
- YouTube and Live TV Streaming on Mobile over 4G Network
- HD Television Support
- Video Chat with Qik pre-installed
- Preloaded with Film ‘Inception’
The next big gadget falls under Tablet PC category and is named ‘G-Slate’. I have no idea what G Stands for in G-Slate Tablet PC but one thing is for sure that it was announced at CES 2011 along with other 80+ Tablets.
G-Slate would run on Android OS 3.0 (Honeycomb) and would have a dedicated 3D Engine to enhance your video and movie experience. With G-Slate you can watch HD movie in three dimensions.
3D Graphics is not a common feature amongst Tablet PCs. G-Slate is probably the first Portable Computer to support 3D Graphics but there is a sad part to this tale as well.
You would not be able to enjoy 3D Movies and Videos on your G-Slate without those ugly, head-numbing glasses. Yes, I know how you are feeling at the moment.
If you haven’t experienced any 3D movie before you might not understand thoroughly what I am trying to convey. Watching videos and movies in 3D with glasses on, cause headaches and one of the greatest productivity killers is a headache.
I would advise G-Slate manufacturers to add Nintendo 3DS like technology to their Tablet PC and get rid of these glasses.
Key Features and Specifications of G-Slate Tablet PC
- 3D Graphics with support HD Movies
- 8.9-inch wide screen with a resolution of (1280×720)
- NVIDIA Tegra 2 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit)
- 5 MP HQ Cameras at Back
- 32GB internet storage
- Operates on Android OS 3.0 (Honeycomb)
A Question for ‘You’: I think the 3D Factor might get G-Slate a notable position in US Market as well as in the rest of the world? What do you think should be the appropriate prices of Samsung Galaxy S 4G on T-Mobile and G-Slate Tablet PC on the same wireless network?
