Micromax Andro A60 : Cheapest Android Phone

Micromax Android A60 : Kick or Pick Decision

Micromax recently came up with the cheapest android mobile phone in the market which seems to have attracted a lot of people to it because of its price and the tag of being an android mobile phone.

Micromax A60 has a really awkward design to begin with, it is not bulky but the design is not at all similar to some good android mobile phone that we use these days.

It runs on Android OS 2.1 Éclair and there are many things about it which makes it a good android phone but not at all a good smartphone.

It loses most of the review points in the hardware section; the phone has resistive touchscreen which makes navigation, zoom in – zoom out and similar stuff quite difficult.

Android phones are known for their agility and Micromax Andro A60 certainly disappoints everyone who considers Google Smartphones to be quick and flexible.

Micromax Andro A60 Features & Specs

Key Features of Micromax A60 Android Phone

  • Android 2.1 Éclair OS
  • Fully Touch Enabled Display Screen
  • 3.2 MP AF Camera with Voice assisted GPS
  • Supports Android Market, Wi-Fi + 3G Connectivity and has an accelerometer for auto-rotate

Micromax Andro A60 doesn’t support all the applications from Android Application store but a few selected ones that match its hardware well.

Technical Specs of Micromax Android A60

  • OS: Android v2.1 (Éclair) {not upgradeable to Froyo}
  • Processor: 600 MHz Dedicated Processor
  • Display Screen: 2.8-inch touchscreen with a 320×240 pixel resolution
  • Memory and Storage: 150MB of Internal Memory which is expandable up to 32GB
  • Entertainment Options: FM Radio, Video Players, Music Player along with a 3.5mm Rocker Headphone jack
  • Camera Resolution and Sensor Quality: 3.2MP camera with AF but no flash

Micromax Andro A60 is the cheap android mobile phone in market at the moment but I would suggest it only if you are too desperate to lay hands on an Android mobile phone, it has nothing special, except for the price tag.

3.2MP Camera may sound enticing but megapixel rarely matter in mobile phone cameras.

A Question for ‘You’: If given a choice which phone would you like to buy for yourself a good Micromax Andro A60 or some other multimedia mobile phone?

Has anyone heard about the software application for Android that sounds an alarm if it gets stolen and turns on GPS and sounds random alerts? I think this software is totally cool, but what happens when the battery runs out?
