LG DX2000: World’s first 20-inch 3D Monitor with no need for glasses
LG announced today, the first 3D monitor that uses eye-tracking technology to maintain an optimal 3D image of the content. 3D is the latest technology in entertainment electronics but those 3D glasses makes the whole experience quite uncomfortable, thankfully LG DX2000 3D Monitor needs no glasses.
This 20-inch 3D monitor D2000 (Korean model: DX2000) has the capacity to render all the movies, games and videos to 3D. Not only 3D content, it can convert all the 2D stuff that you already have on your computer to 3D, amazing, right?
In order to create 3D visuals, DX2000 uses glasses-free parallax barrier 3D technology.
The combination of parallax barrier and eye-tracking technology opens new horizons for this form entertainment. Most of 3D TVs demands you to sit in a particular angle to be able to enjoy the content but DX2000 is different, it adjusts the 3D output as per the viewing angle of the user using a camera sensor.
It is currently available in Korea and is expected to hit rest of the world by 2011.
