Futuristic Mobile Phone Concept
After reading about Nokia’s Kinetic device with flexible display, you must have understood that Nokia is trying pretty hard to research futuristic mobile phone concept that would be used in phones in the future. The whole concept of flexible displays was pretty unique (weird) and Nokia has taken it a step forward with HumanForm Futuristic Mobile Phone Concept.
Have a look at the video released by Nokia regarding HumanForm Futuristic Mobile Phone Concept:-
I know you are feeling a little surprised after watching this video, a lot of question must have popped up in your head as well. HumanForm Futuristic Mobile Phone Concept from Nokia seems to bring technology closer to natural human behavior which indicates that we would ‘possibly’ be able to control gadgets with our natural gestures and emotions. It sounds as if, in the future, we would be working with gadgets with artificial intelligence which can recognize our emotion, gestures etc.
There are a couple of things about HumanForm Futuristic Mobile Phone Concept which seems pretty awkward like totally sensitive body, electro-tactile feedback and the ‘non-rectangular’ shape. I mean how is it possible to create a device that is completely touch-sensitive, where would the battery be inserted, or are we talking about a device that runs on solar power, or induction charging.
There’s something strange about electro-tactile feedback as well, let’s say, I took a picture of an ocean, would I be able to feel the texture of the ocean (sounds ridiculous). Manufacturing a device with a non-rectangular display maybe possible but the question that arises here is how are we going to use is properly, for social networking it might do well, but what about browsing the Internet, streaming videos, photos and documents. I don’t think the web content that we have available at the moment would be compatible with this sort of a device.
As of now, HumanForm Futuristic Mobile Phone Concept is just imaginary, unlike the Kinetic device; Nokia hasn’t made a prototype of HumanForm concept device. No doubt, idea behind this device is pretty nice, it might not seem a good enough device now, but maybe when ‘in distant future’ Nokia creates this gadget, it brings people closer to each other.
What’s your opinion about HumanForm Futuristic Mobile Phone Concept from Nokia?
