Amazon recently launched its first Android Tablet PC in market which is known as Amazon Kindle Fire. Kindle Fire runs on Android v2.3 Gingerbread and offers a good set of apps. Kindle Fire has a dedicated app store called Amazon App Store which provides quality apps to users.
Today, I am going to share with you a tutorial following which you can easily install Amazon App Store on any Android device.
Procedure to Install Amazon App Store:-
- Navigate to Settings –> Applications (To configure admin permissions such that your device allows you to install apps from an unofficial source)
- Check “Unknown sources” (This would enable side-loading option on your device)
- Go to Amazon.com and download the App Store on your Android device using [this link] (For this you would have to enter your mobile phone number)
- Install the App and Enjoy!
Amazon App Store would run on your Android device like a secondary app store. You can download as many free and paid apps that you like. Amazon offers a special free app everyday so keep visiting Amazon App Store daily to get interesting apps for Free.
Amazon App Store and Android Market have many apps in common. For example, you can find classic games like Angry Birds, Plants Vs. Zombies, Burn the Rope, Peggle, Chuzzle etc. which means that app developers on both App Stores are same. The only difference you may see would be in the price. Some apps are listed on Amazon App at a low price as compared to Android Market.
There are some Tablet and Smartphone manufacturers who are not offering Android Market with their Tablets, maybe because they want to build their own App Store and make profits by selling apps (taking away profits from Google). If you have such a Tablet or Smartphone, you can easily install Amazon App Store on your device and enjoy some of the Coolest Apps and Games which have been developed for Android.
